
As the Lagos first ever Inter-Night Clubs football competition came to a beautiful end, it is worthy of mention that the center of excellence was thrilled by some beautiful display of football as various Lounges, Bars and Night Clubs engaged themselves in competitive yet charity football games at Lekki Phase One, Lagos in an event code name Urban Clubs Charity CUP (U3C)
After over two months of intense preparation by the organisers and the participating teams, street football via 5-A-side was served to the fans of the various outfits just as the fans were entertained at Funturf, Lekki, Lagos State.
Wednesday 6th February, 2019 will be a date to be remembered for a long time as it gave birth to a competition that will engage youths positively for years ahead using street football while playing in the names of reputable Clubs, Lounges and Bars as they promotes the youths in their location of operation.
According to the CEO of Uptrend Sportsz the unique event organiser, Suara Abass, this competition is meant to give plenty of distinguished elements, reputation and recognition to street football in Lagos as there are a lot of competitions here and there but constantly getting marred by various issues and vices due to disorganised planning hence defeating it purpose.
“When you have ballers play in the name of credible organisations with great reputation to protect you will expect them to be at their best manners and coordination which will help instill discipline in them, one thing that can help them have a prolonged career in the in the game and become good ambassador to the younger once”, Suara Abass stated.
He continued saying “while it is an industry meets for the nightlife runners, it also serve as a means for them to fulfil their corporate social responsibilities and give back to the less privileged. We also urge for the support of corporate organization for subsequent editions to ensure we can reach every nook and cranny of Lagos and even beyond in an effort to harness the abundant of talents on the street and also give them a pathway in there careers.”
The Urban Clubs Charity CUP was a success as there were plenty of live performances from musical artiste and freestyle football was also served by Nigeria quarter finalist in the National Freestyle Football Championship, Benjamin John who actually wowed the fans with some amazing display of tricks and flicks with a ball.

Suara Abass added that “In the next edition we hope to see more Clubs, Lounges and Bars in their hundreds across Lagos put in for the competition to engage youths in their locations, to fly their brands as Quilox bacame the champions of the inaugural edition with Didoz VIP Lounge runners up.
