When asked about officiating so far in the league, Niekitan said;
“In the past, a referee can make a call and no one will question him but now, before the game starts, the referee knows there is a match assessor and he/she will want to carry out his/her duty well”.

The former Warri wolves gaffer who was full of praise for the NNL body also said the Referees will want to improve themselves also as they want to be professional

“Football has gone scientific as there is no more home advantage as long as you play well” Niekitan said.

He however hope the referees will live up to expectation at the end.

Up next for the Delta state sponsored team is a game at home against My People FC and they’ll hope to continue their 100% start to the new season so as to meet the target set by the state government which is a ticket to the topflight league.
